An okay company to work for.

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) San Jose, CA

ProsProvides a very good environment for work life balance - the support is just awesome. You also get to work with people of various calibers coming from diverse backgrounds.

ConsIt is a set of independant companies competing with each other. The pay is substantially below the local market, but is presented to you as if you are earning a few percentage points above the market value. Its a mystery where HR gets these figures.

Advice to Senior ManagementEmployees are savvy enough to see beyond the facade that management raises. It would help resolve some of the issues plaguing the company by treating them as partners instead.

    My experience working at IBM.

Software Engineer (Current Employee) San Jose, CA

I have been working at IBM

Pros: You develop professional comoderie with your team when you work in large scale projects that span several release cycles and versions.… Cons: You must be willing to work anywhere from 40-80 hours a week for product development in the IBM Software group. Micromanagement is quite common with both… Advice to Senior Management: Be more sensitive to a person's work and life balance… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend More
