I worked at IBM full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

you can learn a lot... have a scope to grow... Company I admire for ever

    Cons

India Management needs to up skill and stop politics for personal gain.
and Stop favoritism and holding grudge. It was good when managers from UK & US were leading lot of divisions. As a former employee I suffered a lot and has to quit ultimately after working for 10 long years, as HR though about it as why this employee decided to leave? have they though of having an exit interview? probably they are too busy as I am no more of any use for them. They make circumstances around you to quit so that they want to promote someone else whom they want to promote. Any news to HR does not stay confidential, and HR never have time for you,as they expect you to go to your manager, HR should realize that you are going to them as you have issues with your manager itself.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to be very cautions as whom we are getting to lead... ppl leave coz of managers not company.
if a top performer has been designated as failed or not doing proper what are the steps the manage has taken to make him/her upto the mark where he was.
Please take care of managers change as this is the key issue.
