I worked at IBM full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Benefits, global travel, working with people around the world, and some amazing clients.

    Cons

Office environment and equipment is outdated, unclean, and sometimes smells. Too much effort spent on making rules. Cost reduction initiatives continue to focus on take aways from employees via layoffs, space reduction, and even removing the coffee makers. No longer a place to be proud to work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Lighten up! It is up to you to make an environment where employees are satisfied and want to stay.

I worked at IBM full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Some of the people are great to work with

    Cons

Way too much management and no communication. Very little makes sense when it comes to bringing in outside resources costing much more than local resources that do the job better and for less money.
