    Pros

To gain experience to work for a company that actually cares about its employees.

    Cons

Layoffs monthly by the thousands. Contract out positions now enabling them to pay less and earn more profits. Offshoring jobs away from USA constantly.

    Advice to Management

You have lost sight of what IBM was built on and for. Only the quarterly profits are what matters to you now. Not customer satisfaction or your employees

  2. Too many managers that are detached from modern marketing & techniques

    Pros

    Working from home
    Having more free time
Ability to apply to internal IBM jobs all over the world

    Cons

Internal politics. 'Friends' promote friends just so they can hang out together at events.

    Advice to Management

Stop promoting people to wrong areas. For example, a former finance adviser has no business being promoted to digital marketing manager who manages a team of creatives. It's absurd. I have seen managers waste ridiculous amount of money just because they could and at the end, they blamed their teams for having no results. They had no strategy, no real execution. Team members were forced to do as the manager says in order to not upset manager above them.

Also stop promising people raises after filling out PBC's. They don't mean anything and no raises actually come. I've had a manager continuously lie for 5 years straight above raises. Every year there was a new excuse even when everyone performed well and had great ratings on their PBC's.

Lastly, most of the managers who attend IBM events are cocaine users. I am betting everything that if IBM did a random drug test 80% of their managers would be fired. It's sad but true.
