Pros

Its a large company, with many different areas of activity, highly qualified expertise and a decent reputation. They are active in sustainability, environmental issues, and energy, all of which are important job growth areas.

Cons

The company has grown very quickly, has no soul, and is primarily concerned about the bottom line, even at the expense of its core asset - its employees - particularly as a consulting firm.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Tune your attention to creating value within the firm, as well as for clients. Too many mid-level and senior staff are leaving the company because they don't feel valued,

I have been working at ICF International full-time for more than a year

    Pros

My managers have always been very flexible in terms of working from home and alternate work schedules when needed. I don't feel overworked at ICF, and think they strike a good work/life balance. Have gotten the chance to cultivate a wide set of skills through my work.

    Cons

For junior level staff, project work is often assigned based on who has availability and not who has the skills matched to that project. This can be a disincentive to do good work on projects that you don't like, since you will get stuck on them and not be able to move on to projects you would rather be on.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay more attention/ invest more in your junior staff.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your people better - people work for people!
It's absolutely shocking how poorly we are treated. We are spoken to like we are dirt beneath the managers' feet. The overall culture is horrid and it's sad that the managers, director, and VP are oblivious to the fact that people are miserable. But then again, it's all about outside appearance, right?
