Pros

This is a great place to start your career. The pay is not the best but ICU Medical will hire you without some of the qualifications other companies require if they feel you are the right fit.

Cons

It is not the best company if your objective is to promote. The company does not have many layers of management, which is good. But, the downside is that the opportunity for advancement also suffers.

Advice to Management

Please continue to seek the input of the guys/girls in the field selling these products. This will help make good decisions moving forward.

    Pros

New CEO has recognized the need for radical changes. Salaries slightly above industry averages.

    Cons

Toxic environment created by employees that have been there for a number of years without having any significant empirical knowledge, or experience prior to ICU; creating a pervasive tunnel vision syndrome in so many areas. Many of them promoted from the production/front lines to office positions. Unfortunately, due to their tenure there they are almost impossible to remove, most of them have not invested any energy in education (not improving overall knowledge-base), or making themselves marketable; therefore, they are unable to find similar jobs or salaries elsewhere. Results: environment where unskilled individuals will lie, and throw others under the bus at any opportunity in order to keep their jobs. Unhealthy work environment; which can be traced back to people knowing that they will not qualify for similar jobs in the market. Talented, marketable employees do not stay here beyond the time required to fulfill signing bonuses, or relocation agreements. If you want to be part of a winning team, and feel proud of representing your employer, then, this might not be the right environment for you.

    Advice to Management

Review titles, and salaries. Titles are exaggerated for the level of responsibilities they truly have; resulting in having unskilled, inexperience, uneducated people making inappropriate decisions at so many levels.
