I have been working at IKEA full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

There have been many times that I've seen people grow within the company and go on to Service Office "corporate" or other stores. There is lots of opportunity to grow and travel the world since IKEA is a global company.

    Cons

IKEA says it believes in a work life balance and there are those who really have no life or miss the little lives of those around them because there is little to no accommodations for people with outside responsibilities. Also in order to be able to move around it's all about who you know or who you tend to be "extra nice to".

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen with and be open. Not everyone has the same circumstances and can not handle what their coworker can. The company is supposed to love "why sayers" however sometimes when WHY is asked you are ignored or overlooked!
