IKEA is rich with opportunity and truly practices it's core values. Recognition and responsibility are encouraged and rewarded.

Cons

Although we look for better ways to work we are stuck in outdated auditing processes that take us away from the important issues of running the business. e.g. we are often consumed by an individual audit, rather than the everyday focus of good work.

Advice to Senior Management

Never loose the desire to treat each co-worker with dignity and respect, but be consistent with follow up. IKEA is very future thinking but because we are a global organization we work with programs or processes that are expensive & time consuming. Simplify and adapt for what will work in a particular region of the world.
