- a lot of people have been there for around 20 years, so IMS is good at keeping its employees happy
- opportunities to work with biggest pharma companies in the world
- just moved to new offices in kings cross which are nice

Cons

- sometimes get told to do a number of tasks by different managers, but i suppose that is expected at most companies

I worked at IMS Health full-time

    Pros

Some good leaders and leadership position in industry. In acquisition mode. Truly global company. Good pay if top performer.

    Cons

Totally driven by short term CEO and SVP of HR. Vision is all about hitting ebitda targets - no values, mission or greater goal. Very poor communication.

I have been working at IMS Health full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Talented people. There is some really great people working here.
    Flexible work arrangements
    Lots of different projects
Heavy exposure to the pharmaceutical industry

    Cons

Very little investment on training, coaching, improving skillsets etc - UNLESS you are in senior leadership.

I have seen CONSTANT training sessions for senior team all throughout the year, yet the Consultants/Sales has to wait until Q3 to receive their first training of the year.

It is very tough to get support here - HR goes straight to the general manager if you have any complaints or issues. (even though you're told the talk will be 'confidential')

The company is now quite top heavy - too many generals and not enough soldiers. Sorry but outsourcing everything to India won't solve your problems, just create new ones (oh but I guess EBITDA will look pretty good then? And that's all that seems to count now, right!)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn how to communicate, learn how to be good role models. Don't just shut down completely and screw all your employees just because we are behind in a rediculous EBITDA target which as anyone in the pharma industry in 2012 would know, would never been able to be achieved...
