Pros

Excellentent mentorship. I came with no data management experience and learned all I know from my mentors.

Cons

As INC grew due to the acquisitions of other CROs, they cut jobs across the board without any notice at all, One day someone was here...one day they were gone. This was sad as my position was secure but I chose to leave because I did not feel the friendly vibes any more which was very disheartening to me an my fellow co-workers

Advice to Management

Try to be more proactive in supporting your staff

    Pros

They have pretty good benefits including: PTO, Personal Holidays, Insurance and 401K matching.

    Cons

They are a company in transition and appear to be making poor judgement calls with recently acquired employees.

    Advice to Management

Don't assume that all research studies are created equally and can easily have new employees replace seasoned employees. This angers the sponsors by putting inexperienced personnel on a study and creating more potential problems (additional $$) for the sponsor. Many high quality personnel have been let go due to "workforce reduction". I hope you know what you are doing to keep the company afloat. Removing quality personnel is not the way to win sponsors.

    Pros

-Coworkers are great and make the workplace a better place to be
-A good amount of paid time off is offered to employees and employees are encouraged to use it
-There is quite a bit of turnover, but this is not surprising for the CRO industry. This creates a lot of opportunities for advancement earlier on
    -A week off over Christmas
-Company is growing and has a bright future
-Lots of work for employees means job security
    -good benefits
-management tends to be open to process improvement suggestions

    Cons

-Compensation is on the low side
-Raises/bonuses are few and far between
-The amount of work can be overwhelming at times
-As a CRO, completely dependent on sponsor contracts awarded, so layoffs do occur from time to time.
-Company is going through integration and growing pains. Change is always taking place
-Many processes in place hinder company's efficiency, but are being improved

    Advice to Management

Reward employees for hard work with bonuses and invest in processes that improve efficiency/decrease employee burnout
