I worked at ING as a contractor (more than 3 years)

Pros

Good personnel, great job environment, work routine was never stagnant, I couldn't have asked for better co-workers, who appreciated my flexibiltiy. I enjoyed the financial services area, it was fascinating work.

Cons

No gaurantee of being hired full-time, management made some questionable decisions regarding full-time hires that I didn't agree with. I was very flexible in terms of my abilities and would've welcomed a transfer to any other department, management should have seen this.

    I worked at ING full-time

    Pros

The benefits are pretty good and they have tuition reimbursement. A great place to work while getting a degree. There are a lot of community engagement programs. They are commitment to being green.

    Cons

The average employee only gets promoted if they are friends or, better yet, relatives with someone in management. Don't think just because you do a great job you can have a career here! In the office I worked at,all the management was white. It wasn't a motivating environment when Blacks and Hispanics never were promoted. Older workers are not promoted either There is no real commitment to diversity.
