Current Employee - Contact Representative in Memphis, TN

I have been working at IRS as a contractor for less than a year

Decent pay for the work
Federal government job
Nice co-workers

The most unorganized place I have ever worked.
Not enough consistent training and trainers were unprofessional and didn't get along.
Not enough day shift positions
Processes changed daily and things were not always communicated to each team.

Great people to work with, flexible work hours, great managers, and good pay.

There are none. Working at the I.R.S. is an excellent job and an excellent workplace. I have no complaints about it.

I have been working at IRS as an intern for more than a year

One of the major reasons for my enjoying my experience were the various opportunities. There are few places where you can enter for one position and find a better one that you are more suited to and then be encouraged to switch to the new position. The IRS was a great place to work because the people there are smart and will generally take the time to figure out where you as a new employee will be capable of deploying your talents.

The work can be boring on occasion and sometimes you do have work to be done that stretches your abilities.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be sure to continue to take the time to find out what employees are good at and help them attain positions that let them put their talents to the best use.

    Neutral Outlook
