Waste of time

Admissions Representative (Former Employee) Canton, MI

ProsThey pay really well to treat you like garbage and have the opportunity to walk all over you.

ConsYour job as an "admissions rep" consists mostly of calling prospective students 3-5 times a day. Most of the time you get hung up on and swore at and then you are still required to call these people until they request their number be removed. If you are lucky enough to schedule an interview, most students are turned off by the $45k tuition for an associates. All the while upper management is constantly threatening to fire you while doing nothing constructive to help you.

Advice to Senior ManagementStop treating your employees like dispensable items. Stop micro-managing. Start being positive, it may create a more productive environment. Make yourself more available for questions and assistance (an ACTUAL open-door policy). Start being more open-minded to the fact that your employees work very hard and it might be the economy and cost of tuition that is causing lower enrollment.
