Enjoyed job but Management does not treat employees fairly. You do 3 times the job while boss' favorites do no work.

Pros

Benefits are pretty good but cost employees

Cons

No recognition, boss' take credit recognition for your ideas. Boss' have favorites who come and go as they please take long lunches and chat on instant messenger all day while you are given all the work and given grief when doctor appointment etc., needed.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat employees equally, fairly and praise for good job. Do not pass on employees ideas as your own. Do not be deceitful when reporting numbers to board of directors in order to look good and stop blaming employees for management's mistakes.

    Pros

    There are absolutely no cons with the exception that they are generally consistent with payroll so long as you have direct deposit.

    Cons

    There is major disorganization throughout this company. It starts with CEO/President and trickles down to the GVPs/VPs, and the Directors are generally the messengers to the masses. The Directors have minimal to no management experience and are poor thought/team leaders. Employee turnover is approximately 25% and the turnover is attributed to poor compensation (stock options are reserved for a small group of individuals in management), bad hours, lack of respect for individual employees, no career path, no respect for an employees personal life/time, etc. This is an extremely small organization (less than 95 employees) with big time corporate issues that generally lead to the demise of a company's success. There is absolutely no opportunity for career development unless you are willing to undercut hardworking employees, exploit customers, engage in unethical business practices and lie. This company does not value education, in fact one of their Directors does not even have the basic educational background that is required for employment. They do not look favorably towards individuals with a masters degree or higher. Year after year the company sees revenue growth although fewer raises are allocated, more and more bonuses are withdrawn and more employees are laid off.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    The board of directors should heavily examine the actions of IVANS management team and elect a new CEO with a new vision to enforce a more productive culture. IVANS HR department should undergo training so that discrimination (gender, age, race) is not a reoccurring issue. Management should listen to their employees and listen to their customers before they lose all of their business to a more professional, business savy competitors.

    I worked at IVANS full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    I enjoyed working with the people on my team and my manager was pretty easy going. It was a shame that the office closed.

    Cons

    No room for advancement and I topped out on compensation. The work-life balance was good and the office was comfortable.
