Athletics is the worst department to work in and was a hostile environment.

I worked at Illinois Institute of Technology

    Pros

Other coworkers were for the most part were great. Athletics is a pretty laid back environment, so when the supervisor was in a good mood it was fun.

    Cons

Person in charge of department was not held accountable by his higher up. He made up rules and policies. HR is a revolving door that does nothing to support employees rights. Both supervisors I had while working here did things only to benefit themselves and their programs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

HR needs to take seriously the feedback and exit interviews of employees and hold the supervisors accountable for their actions.
