I worked at Impark

Pros

It's a great 9-5 job in an accessible section of the city. There are plenty of opportunities for lateral movement if you succeed in your job.

Cons

Main office is small and doesn't offer a lot of lateral movement on site. The quickest way to a promotion is to move to another site, which could be inconvenient. You have to pay 20 percent of your benefit premiums.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

You would have access to more talent that you would want to keep if the salary was more competitive. It doesn't take much to find a job with similar duties that pays more. Your talent constantly moves on to greener pastures while you get stuck with those who aren't wanted anywhere else.

    I worked at Impark

    Pros

Get to meet some interesting people and drive some fancy cars.

    Cons

Lots of micro management with inexperienced managers. This is a company who promotes based on tenure so most managers lack the theory part of management. There is a lack of safety measures in the work place for employees such as having to run under slippery conditions, working with high auto emissions in an indoor parking area and standing outside in hot and cold weather. Some managers are easy going and fun to work with, others you would not want to be on their bad side. I found hardly any support from management and if you're still under probation your union rep won't help you if you're wrongly dismissed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don' t let outside sources manage your employees and have senior management oversee new projects from beginning to end to ensure your employees on that site are fully trained and are being treated fairly.
