I have been working at Imperial College London full-time (more than 8 years)

Pros

Imperial takes part in cutting edge research. The medical school and college have a large number of top scientists. The college has a very strong reputation. Strong at translational research.

Cons

Too much red tape. Like any large organisation it is slow to change course or adapt to change sometimes. Can be frustrating to get the necessary administrative support.
