They love H1B's because they can boss them around, get them cheap and it is more difficult for them to leave.

I have been working at InComm

    Pros

It's location downtown. They pay you on time.

    Cons

The upper management has no respect for their employees. Over the past two months I watched 6 people resign and two people get fired. The location is ok, but they are too cheap and have way too much of a top down management approach to attract quality people that will stay long term.

The management of the company has no clue how to manage knowledge workers. Some of this probably stems from hiring senior vice presidents that has no college education and learned how to manage at K-Mart retail stores. They prefer to hire people on H1B visas who don't have as much freedom to change jobs without risking their immigration status.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You are not in a business that has a bunch of low skilled laborers. Turnover is very expensive and has already cost this company millions of dollars. This is truly a business that is ripe for a smaller company to come in with more innovative approaches and kill you with. But if you do nothing to attract or keep your qualified employees, good luck doing that. There is no much that this companies management could do to improve employees morale and to get more productivity out of them that would not cost the company ANY money.

I have been working at InComm full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    Salary is okay.
The company, at least part of it, is trying to improve morale.

    Cons

    Very disorganized.
Very bad coordination and communication between teams.
High turn over rate results that no one knows what is going on.
Management does not respect other people who have technical and industry expertise.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to the employee with an open mind. Hold director and VP level management accountable for what they are suppose to do. Do you treat employees like slaves just because you are sponsor their green card application.
