Pros

The company culture is design centric and non-corporate. Company is growing, and there are many opportunities to take initiative and see the results of your work directly.

Cons

Company is still relatively small, so there are growing pains in managing the growth

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work hard to maintain the current company culture that is steeped in the worlds of art and design as the company grows

I worked at Incase (California) full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Excellent and unique product designs have built a very loyal/enthusiastic customer base for Incase. The staff is smart, talented and creative, and there's a congenial work environment. Overall, there's good brand recognition. It's a relatively small company that has a lot of potential, and you can

    Cons

Growing pains, or rather, not growing pains. Brand recognition didn't translate into profits needed to take the company to the next level, and there was a lot of focus on the brand. Protective cases and bags is a very tough business niche that's getting squeezed by a zillion knockoff companies.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The company needs to focus more on attaining new customers instead of talking to the same loyal fans. Actively drive the purchasing decision with new marketing strategies that expose the company to new customers. Develop new products that are simple, uniquely useful, and fill an empty niche in the market, but aren't expensive to develop or manufacture. Of course, maintain the signature Incase design aesthetic.
