Pros

* Everyone in the company seems invested in furthering your abilities, and helping you become better at what you do.
* Meetings are short and to the point.
* They embrace new and cutting-edge technologies.
* You work with some of the most brilliant people you have met.
* Collaborative work environment where management seems to care about each individual greatly.
* Free lunch. Weekly/monthly outings. Fun people to work with.

Cons

* Since they are smaller, opportunities to "work your way up" can be limited, but this is also a plus for them.

    Pros

    - Great energy
    - Lots of young people
    - Great potential for getting paid well and rather quickly
    - Awesome product
    - Do a good job of promoting
    - Cool offices
    - Lots of free food!
    - Happy Hours

    Cons

    - HIGH turnover
    - Growing quickly...but at what cost?
    - Great place to work if you're not in sales
    - Unattainable quotas (consistently)
    - Performance plans aren't performance plans....they're your notice of termination
    - Managers are like frat buddies
    - Minimal sales training
    - Stupid emphasis on "activity" (a person will do just enough just to get you off of their backs)
    - Micromanagement (be prepared to hear it from your manager if you took a 30 minute lunch break)
    - Not much job security

    Pros

Young group of people that work hard and play hard. Most are friends that hang out after work and on weekends. Feeling of being part of growing something. Product overall is good, very innovative, works well.

    Cons

Short-sighted management, with strict call and activity metrics on salespeople. They take a robotic approach to selling, very scripted, very methodical... and don't allow sales people to be creative or 'go out of the box' to sell and win deals. People will make calls, just to make their call quota for the day/week... for fear of being put on a performance plan.

    Advice to Management

I understand the company needs to grow after the recent acquisition and must keep close restriction on sales people's activity, but allow them to be creative, and do whatever is necessary to close deals. Make it about sales performance, not call numbers.
