Pros

Benefit package - they contribute 10% to 403(b) retirement account, good health insurance (though it went up significantly this year), decent vacation

Good core lab resources - flow cytometry, microarray, sequencing, proteomics, vector, etc

Good internal collaboration

Good focus from administration on research + some internal funding opportunities

Cons

Long work hours (faculty expectation is 55 hrs/wk)

Salary is not great. Equivalent salary for industry is +50% or more.

Long timelines for tenure (7-9 years in IUSM)

    Because I want to join MBA school to leverage my working expereinces.

    There is nothing special but it is a little bit countery side, so sometime I feel to be bored in especially break.

    The best way to show your leader ship in Kelley School of Buysiness is to participate in group assignment actively and give others your opinion.

    -Advanced from entry level job to an internship with a lot of responsibility, and was given the freedom to run with the project
    -Independent decision-making
    -Great as a start-up internship while still in school

    Cons

    -Location only focused in Bloomington, IN, and Indianapolis, IN so only offers collaboration possibility if you are in those locations
