Former Employee - Customer Service Representative  in  Dayton, OH
Former Employee - Customer Service Representative in Dayton, OH

I worked at InfoCision full-time for more than a year

Pros

Nice people, good pay, donations for charity calls mostly positive. Set scripts to read from for each call, fair bonus structure. A good sit-down job.

Cons

Slimy marketing for slimy companies and high-powered sales tactics. If that's your thing - you have a knack for getting the sale, then you should work here. Professional dress code was a bit odd for phone work.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

My advice is to get your stories straight when talking about retention; the differences make for some distrust. Also be more upfront that it's a sales job foremost. Customer service is *not* the same as sales.

Management Is VERY Disorganized; Pay Is Abysmal For The Tasks Required Of You.

I worked at InfoCision full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Flexible work-hours; your fellow co-workers (AKA: "Communicators") are some of the nicest of any workplace...

    Cons

You will be underpaid and overworked. And in time, you will become extraordinarily frustrated as well...it usually takes three months and your brain has had enough of it.

Your computer scripting will supply you with nothing but inaccuracies. Depending on the call center you work with, your Supervisors on staff offer little assistance or resolution to customer complaints or technical issues (mostly because they didn’t know how to resolve said issues). You will be forced to provide the resolution to the Customers yourself because the Supervisors and Management are tremendously lazy at responding to calls for assistance as well.

This job is a nice "buffer". But formulate an exit quickly. This is not the company to start a career with, nor one that will pay you a competitive wage. You are hired for your voice box and nothing more.

PS: They haven’t cleaned the facilities in years. Sicknesses abound.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Re-think your ENTIRE management structure. Offer better base wages (way better...) and most importantly, quit employing Supervisors who know less about our products than the Customers...

I have been working at InfoCision part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Lad back and you get sit down. You get good benefits and flexible hours and they have good mangers.

    Cons

You have to work one weekend day. They sometimes change the time on Saturday that you come in.
