Current Employee - Professional Services Senior Consultant
Current Employee - Professional Services Senior Consultant

I have been working at Informatica full-time (more than an year)

Pros

Very good company and smart people to work with.
Very good compensation.
Benefits are very good
Opportunity to learn new technologies

Cons

Higher management is not motivated specially in services. The management has been there for more than ~13 years and made lot of money during the IPO and they do not seem motivated.

They never respond to emails. All they talk is about BBQ competitions.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need more motivated people in higher management specially in services industry and consultants in services need more insight on whats happening within the products. Partners have more information on the new releases and products than IPS consultants.

    Pros

salary, provide the resources you need, a lot of business potential

    Cons

Managers need people skills training. Management takes no responsibility for nurturing and guiding employees. Professionalism with regards to treatment of employees is lacking. There is no camaraderie. There are a few people who sit in rooms and make decisions and do not know how to succinctly communicate the importance and role to each employee who has to make the vision and strategy come to fruition.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest in management training. There's no benefit to having managers who don't understand the key principles of managing people. Turnover will stay high when no-one understands their role and value to the company.
