“Don't work there as a contractor”
Former Employee – worked at Informatica
Pros – As a contractor, my boss was very firm about me working only 40 hours a week.
Cons – I worked there as a contractor for a couple of years and was treated like a second class citizen. My boss kept me in the dark regarding everything, saying that she was protecting me. She never invited me to meetings and micromanaged me at every turn.
Advice to Senior Management – Treat your contractors with more respect. Make them feel like they are part of the organization instead of just generic temps who do the job and go away.
