Pros

Good people, fair pay and benefits, excellent location. Talented people are able to move quickly from role to role if they are willing to relocate. Even without relocation, with two divisions headquartered in Carmel, there are generally lots of opportunities.

Cons

Publicly stated vision is long term, but business is still run month to month, quarter to quarter. Too much focus on cost containment, often at the expense of the employee. Whenever results start to dip below projections, employee "perks" are the first things to go.

    Pros

Great pay and benifits. Very good training programs. Good tech support from the factory. Skills learned are easly transfered to other branches.

    Cons

A lack of training of the sales staff about the automation systems. Most systems cost more to install than planned.

    Advice to Management

A lack of training of the sales staff about the automation systems. Most systems cost more to install than planned. Management needs to retrain the sales staff on the controls systems.

    Pros

3 weeks VaCa, 10 holidays, 401k 6% match dollar for dollar, fully vested < 5 yrs, standards benefits for family is about $160 for top of the line program w/o vision. Room for growth but choose you role wisely. good mgrs are hit and miss

    Cons

HR limits job hopping to 18 mos for all individual-contributor roles, salary is non-negational if you bring in offer(s) from outside - they will let talent walk right out. Work is volatile, Company lacks direction, always changing but not for good, poor knowledge sharing & communication behind functions and corporate. If an employee turns over, HR & MGR are very slow to hire (avg. 4-6 mos) if they even hire then - company likes to claim head count productivity. HR function is a complete mess - uninformed and they think they are business partners. Financials systems are a nightmare - HFM resources and support are not even funny how terrible they are. Actuals CY, PY, AOP, FCST all in different cubes, lack of communication with business critical information around reporting.

    Advice to Management

If you want to be strategic, hire PMOs to carry out the plan instead of current workforce. The Agile project is going to fail b/c employees will turnover due to work/life balance, SMART transformation project will fail b/c I.T. is being outsourced and financial support is lacking, the countermeasure A3/A4 process will go down in flames b/c MGT doesn't even know what metrics they want and the workforce is getting frustrated with the churn.
