Perfect job if you are the only or primary breadwinner and work is your focus

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
Charlotte, NC

Pros- Great opportunities for international projects
- Met incredibly talented and dedicated people from all over the world
- Awesome project managers
- Great opportunity to work on giant projects and cross cultural teams

Cons- Most jobs are 40+, that is just the norm
- Many job are around the clock meetings and accommodation is expected
- Little to no interaction or visibility of upper level management. They do not manage by walking around.
- Be careful with benefits. They are great while you are there, but your loss when you leave and paying back tuition stinks. Use every dollar in your HSA/FSA account because they will definitely keep it.

Advice to Senior Management- It is hard to follow a leader that you only know from the stage. Get out an meet your people. Especially Executive team. Why be so isolated from the people who deliver on your promises?

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

    Horrible Sector Leadership

    Finance (Current Employee)
    Davidson, NC

I have been working at Ingersoll-Rand full-time for more than 10 years

Pros: Great people in the field. Field associates really care about the customer and doing what is… Cons: Senior sector leadership is completely out of touch with reality and frankly over their heads. Their idea of long range planning is next quarter.… Advice to Senior Management: Think longer term than next month or next quarter. … No, I would not recommend this company to a friend More

Club Car has the lowest morale of anywhere I've ever worked in my life

    Manager (Current Employee)
    Augusta, GA

I have been working at Ingersoll-Rand full-time for more than 5 years

Pros: Club Car Pros: If you want to live in Augusta GA, you can work for Club Car instead of making the move to Atlanta. … Cons: Having to watch a once-proud company after it's been nickel-&-dimed" to the point of death. Hourly workers are sent home frequently w/out pay. Salaried workers… Advice to Senior Management: Stop focusing on making the product cheaper - it's only resulted in more and more customer complaints and added headaches as staff attempts to react… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company… More
