I worked at Ingersoll-Rand full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

The company is transforming from a classic 'holding' company to a fully integrated enterprise. With this transformation comes a great deal of change, uncertainty and opportunity. For those who are willing to put in the long hours, move as needed and solve key problems; this company offers huge upside.

Cons

Just about everything is being changed in a short period of time. Makes it difficult to get even the most basic things done. Major systems being upgraded and HR processes in flux. Very high turnover.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep going with vision for integration. Just be careful that you are listening to the teams so you know when to push and when to let things level out for a few months.

    Extremely competitive compensation & benefits, beautiful North America headquarters in Davidson, NC, approachable, caring & open-minded CEO, great people, many opportunities for growth & development for high performers

    Cons

    lacks diversity in many areas, 'good ole boy' network still exists in pockets, risk adverse

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Leaders who may produce but undermine the company value's by disrespecting others (i.e. yelling, cursing, etc.) should not be tolerated.

    State of the art and very user friendly computer systems.

    Cons

    Lots of back stabbing amongst employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Listen to the employees more. Don't just say you have an open door policy and not actually have that.
