Pros

They have a decent performance management system. It works well and is easily understood and processed. Pay scale and benefits within reasonable levels.

Cons

Highly inflexible. Very "processed-based," with little regard for historical perspective or doing things differently that the way they want it.
No recognition for capabilities or past history/experience

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn to recognize the talent you have or you will find them in the past tense. Your way is not the only way to get things done.

    Pros

    Business Model.
    Wide range of opportunities

    Cons

    Plant leadership was very very bad.
    Occasionally came to the shop-floor instead of living in it.
    Passive leadership.
    Poor communication.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Try to retain talent.
    Identify and grow talent. If you find someone good then develop them by exposing them across multiple division. But what truly happens is that you'll be blocked from any promotions if you are doing good in your job.

    Benefits are good at Ingersoll Rand for current employees

    Cons

    Despite growth of company, company gives out very small merit increases. Often at or below the CPI

    Review compensation packages to retain quality employees.
