Pros

They have great vacation benefits as you get 3 weeks right when hired.
Health benefits are quick and decent compared to the rest of comparable jobs.
401k is 100 percent matching up to 6%. Limited on what you can invest in.

Cons

Horrible communication between all departments. Engineers are project managers and posses very little design skills.
They do not deal with "issue people" which ends up making the ones who work hard, just be like the others since there is no benefit to working harder.
People are in positions who do not have the requirements to be in the positions. They are locked in and most are miserable.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Quit worrying about the stock holders and take care of your Customers then employees first. The stock holders will do better when the customers are pleased enough to buy more and the employees are eager to work harder for you. This goes out to most companies anymore.

    Pros

    Good compensation, benefits were more than the average....off time encouraged....one of the leading players in the door hardware new construction market

    Cons

    too many managers.....marketing people at every corner who did not know anything about the real world.....lot of non=productive people who made much more than the rep on the street

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Take better care of the reps in the field...get rid of middle management they are bleeding you dry...resentment of these people leads to many dissatisfied workers

    Pros

    The leadership and vision in this company make it excitng to come in to work on a daily basis. I would highly recommend IR.

    Cons

    Systems, systems, systems. While IR is a great place to work, the systems need an overhaul, and the company is still a success in spite of it's systems. mostly due to the innovation of it's employees
