Pros

It was the only store in town.

Cons

The management was inattentive to its employee's needs.

    New District Management, and puppet Store Manager came in and terminated older higher wage employees.

    Poor management, low wages, unhappy employees.

    Select store managers that take pride in their work and not just being a puppet for the next level management.

    I have been working at Ingles Markets

    Pros

    I enjoy the people I work with (most of the time)
    My manager is fair and VERY knowledgable about the business
    I have advanced very quickly int he 4 years I have been there

    Cons

    My position at another grocery chain would make twice what I make.
    Corporate seems to have NO idea how things work in stores every day
    I just REALLY dislike our corporate employees, they feel that if you call and ask them a question, you are inconveniencing them. But they have NO problems sending out emails telling US what to do, or what we did wrong, when most likely, it was their screw up.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    I went from a Service clerk to Customer Service manager in 3 years.. Service clerk, to Cashier, to bookeeper then to Customer Service manager.
