I have been working at Inphi

    Pros

new learning opportunities, 2 lunches per week :)

    Cons

stagnant career growth especially if you are not in management
    not competitive salaries/compensation
expected to work very long hours. Sometimes even on week-ends.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You need to have a 360 degree feedback system. Feedback is always one sided during review time (top to bottom) which makes it unfair sometimes

    Risk averse, can't make decisions

I have been working at Inphi full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Very smart co-workers, always something new to learn, and never any shortage of work to do. Lots of variety and basically never a dull moment.

    Cons

Overall it seems the culture here is very risk averse. It is extremely rare to try new methods, even if they have the promise of greater returns. It is very frustrating at times to see old methods engrained here forever with no chance of change. There is an aura of arrogance when interacting with other companies. Senior engineers and management are sometimes downright abusive to outside suppliers. There is a lack of interdepartmental coordination and team projects are very difficult to be productive or successful.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't be afraid of risk and to try new methods and ideas and foster this trait to the entire company. Follow the golden rule and treat others and suppliers like you would want to be treated. Listen to new ideas instead of just shutting them down due to perceived risk since they are new.
