Pros

Good compensation, a lot of resources. A lot of possible training. A lot of smart people if you go to right group

Cons

big, undecisive and complicated management. Too many changes. Management changes decision before the plan get fully executed. This is a big waste of money. They need to think carefully what they want before proceeding.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Go back to basic and shortened the chain of order. Management need to held accountable for decision made. Make careful and firm decisions.
Excel in what you know best, which is CPU and manufacturing. Carefully manage projects and funding.
Trim chain of order. Make management smaller. Too many chiefs is not good

    Pros

If your ideas are incorporated in the products, it'll make a difference in the lives of everyone who uses a PC. Company reputation helps open a lot of doors to customers and potential business partners. Surrounded by a lot of very smart people.

    Cons

The company has gotten too big and intracompany communication and interaction really lacks (and the desire of other groups to work with your group is low). Middle management layers focussed on reporting (or just hearing) the good news, not enough attention paid to the bad news as they think they know the business too well.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Foster intra group interaction & synergy, especially when working with customers and partners.

    Pros

Good place to see a lot of different technology. You can get to know people with other specialties and learn new skills. New opportunities for success arise all the time, but you have to rise to the occasion and aggressively pursue the task at hand. Don't get distracted by all the little things that happen during the day. There are many great people at Intel and everybody has the same goals most of the time.

    Cons

Long hours and sometimes without recognition. Management is interested in results, but they can go off on a tangent and demand things that don't really help us achieve our goals at all.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure metrics are tied to reality, remove metrics not tied to company goals.
