I worked at Intel Corporation full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Intel provides good health benefits. You can get a good pay even if you don't do much work.

    Cons

Constant chaos and politics. Clueless on software research & development. Unrealistic project planning. Inadequate management. Endless useless meetings. Focused on visibility and publicity rather than meaningful accomplishments. A lot of obstacles for people who want to do real work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn to form some real strategy and not just empty power point slides. Learn to listen to employees' feedback. Confront problems and don't pretend everything is fine. Hire true experts and not boss-pleasers. Promote true managers and not politicians. Appreciate people who do real hard work instead of people who do all the talking.
