I have been working at Intel Corporation full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Good benefits & pay; Intel does amazing things and it's cool to be a part of; many coworkers are pretty incredible, smart people; since Intel is so big there is a huge variety of opportunities; people are generally very approachable (you can setup a meeting with anyone and talk to them no matter how high their position). In most jobs you can tell your manager what flexibility you need in order to have good work-life balance.

    Cons

Some managers are bad and will work you to the ground, micromanage you, or focus on office politics. If you get one then find another Intel position with a better manager (and a better second-level manager). If you don't like any of the jobs in your whole division look in other divisions. Some people get pretty stressed out about the annual reviews & ratings but if you have a good manager there won't be surprises and it will be fine. There are always some people who get bad ratings but people are rarely fired if they partner with their manager to try to improve and if they don't do something very bad like violate IP rules or safety rules.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The focus on MFT scores is great--stick with that.

I have been working at Intel Corporation full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Education and job support is very important at Intel, which is refreshing. People are always hard working and willing to support someone who has questions or new ideas.

    Cons

The employee website and in-house management systems are outdated and could be improved with some strong IT help.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Ensure that management techniques are applied both to the social and educational space as well as to the computer systems and document management. These later areas could use a lot of help.
