    Pros

    Specific to Intel Labs: Good work/life balance. Decent pay
    Intel-Specific: Great healthcare. Free coffee. Free fruit.

    Cons

    Company struggling for direction, zero vision (in labs), turf-wars. With the diversity of work we do, we should have found far more opportunities for revenue accretion, which we sadly do not. Very CPU-centric thinking that's killing innovation, and hurting productivity

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Be quick on your feet. Find a way to reward true talent. Find a way to peel through layers and layers of management and power point presenters to truly reward your best employees. There is a lot of potential that's remaining untapped, and what's worse, is leaving in droves (esp in labs). Managers are happier with useless employees (esp in labs) who they're assured will not leave them. Some managers actively discourage you from working on ideas that may be relevant to Intel (for fear of you gaining visibility). You're only as successful as your manager wants you to be. And most of them have long lost their technical edge, or have other considerations....
