Pros

Deep wallets, can afford to work on multiple projects even if some do not become products. Usually have bets as incentives to complete projects on tight schedules, which offer rewards to employees meeting milestones.

Cons

Work-life balance is very much skewed to work, employees not treated well, company shares a very small portion of it's success with employees. Upper management not easily accessible to entry level employees.

Advice to Management

Provide technical insight or ideas instead of just collecting status, consider that people do have a life outside of work.

    Pros

Intel has traditionally been a great company for computer hardware engineers wanting to have a long term technical career path. Can have an impact on technology that touches most people in the world. Usually affords a good work / life balance and good benefits. Intel's process technology lead might help insulate it from currrent business environment.

    Cons

Intel is currently heading into a uncertain business environment as it faces challenges from the mobile and tablet segments of the market encroaching into its bread and butter notebook/client processor business. Due to this uncertain environment, there might be cutbacks or change of focus in the jobs positions at Intel.

Uncertain economic conditions the slow growth also have meant no stock growth in a decade with smaller budgets for raises and promotions. Mid-career growth opportunities have been very few.

    Advice to Management

Top management at Intel is generally very mature and seasoned but has been slow to see the threats to its client business from mobile and tablet segments. More Infusion of outside talent at the top level could help bring out-of-the-box thinking and better understanding of non-traditional segments. Company culture needs to be sharper with real increased focus on collaboration across various segments of the company.
Top management in Intel Labs appears externally focused; has disconnect with rank and file employees.

  2. Good for experienced people compared to freshers

    Pros

Great pay & bonus structure, good working flexibility

    Cons

Too many groups(may be good for company), so employees working in one group have less visibility over the others.

    Advice to Management

Management should hire freshers in appropriate groups... I worked as verification engineer profile, but that was not related with my interest.
