Pros – Work life balance is second to none with flexibility for telecommuting a norm.
Great Place to Work programs provide employees with perks to local businesses and events to drive up employee moral.
Very smart people that you're working with on a daily basis.
Global network provides opportunities to work with people worldwide and sometimes relocate
Cons – Bureaucracy is common
Large organization slows down decision making with number of stakeholders needed to get buyoff
Advice to Senior Management – Hire an external CEO with background in the mobile space to win with smartphone and tablets and change the organizational way of operating needed to increase velocity. Too many groups currently exist to be efficient about decision making and consistent with products across the company.
