Despite the top shelf name it's just another sweat shop.

Pros

Cutting edge technology.
Shorts. sandals and tee shirts are standard attire.

Cons

It's a sweat shop. They expect you to work 60 hours a week and will only pay for 40.
They do not pay top dollar.
Lots of backstabbers.

Former Employee - Senior Software Engineer
Former Employee - Senior Software Engineer

    Pros

The brand that the original Intel engineer established for the first 20 years, the recognition that it has the best manufacturing capability

    Cons

Management are slave drivers, this is not Andy Grove's Intel anymore, Marketing people such as Paul Otellini is running the show that has no idea on technology - that's what happen you put a sales person in leadership position... it will be the worst place for engineer.. but if you are looking for a BS job to hide for a few years. GREAT

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Fire all the retard middle management, particularly the so-called software and service division, they have done nothing to support the core business... and Paul, you should resign for the best interest of stock holders..

Current Employee - Senior Financial Analyst  in  Portland, OR
Current Employee - Senior Financial Analyst in Portland, OR

    Pros

Interesting technology. Access to very high level engineers even as an entry level financial analyst. Surrounded by some very smart people. Looks good on your resume.

    Cons

They tout work life balance, but good luck finding it in your 70hr work week. As a financial analyst you have very poor support systems and are dependent on volumes of excel spreadsheets to find historical data. This is a very poor culture for most women. Intense would be an understatement. If you enjoy being yelled at for even very trivial things then you might enjoy working here.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice
