Former Employee - QA Engineer in Bucharest (Romania)
Former Employee - QA Engineer in Bucharest (Romania)

I worked at Intel Corporation full-time (more than an year)

Pros

I learned a lot, they have many resources you can use if you allocate the time to do it.

Cons

The management team is full of people with their own agenda. They don't care about others, they care only about securing a good life for them. You get no support for growing. Ethics is an unknown word for Intel Romania.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

I would change 90% of the management team with more ethical and experienced people.

Current Employee - Software Engineer in Haifa (Israel)

I have been working at Intel Corporation full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

The company provides great work balance, good working conditions, fair salaries and benefits.
Great place to start a family, buy a house

    Cons

    Very bureaucratic.
Personal development is slow - great at start ( if you are an RCG ), but get slow after couple of years.
    Too many dirty internal politics.
Due to the focal system - people prefer not to take the risks
There is internal unemployment - hunger and internal competition ( sometimes very dirty ) for good projects. If there is already a good project usually take more people than needed to do it

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focal system prevents management from taking risks

Current Employee - Component Design Engineer in Bangalore (India)

I have been working at Intel Corporation full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

You get to work on great technology. The projects are good and the jobs are exciting. Peer culture is usually friendly at engineer level. You get appreciated (mostly) for the good efforts, recognition culture is encouraged. GPTW (great place to work) activities are encouraged. You get more or less the compensation amount specified in the offer letter (though you will receive some of it in form of stocks), unlike some companies where CTC and in-hand salary may vary much.

    Cons

The growth may be slow compared to peer companies. Depending on group, the work pressure may be more. Decision making for project is usually slow.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Should be more agile, employees should be able to relate more with the impact their work has on Intel products.
