I have been working at Intel Corporation full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Intel takes care of their employees with a good base salary compensation package, fairly decent raises for the first couple years, and the work provides opportunities to contribute to the company very early by embracing the "sink or swim" mentality.
Also, the sabbatical program is one of the nicer perks. Every 7 years Intel provides an 8 week paid vacation for all Blue Badge employees.

    Cons

With high demands at work, balancing the demand between your professional responsibilities and your personal life is very difficult. This is most evident in the engineering side of the company. There are long stretches of where the workload is extremely high as a project gets closer to one of the major milestones. It is so intense that there's a catchphrase that most employees significant others use: "the Intel widow".
