Pros

Intel really treats its employees well. They have strict ethics and very involved in the community. Other benefits include a sabbatical every 7 years.

Cons

The company is averse to changes in existing methodologies they follow. This may sometimes be a nice thing but many times it hinders the thought process of innovation.

I have been working at Intel Corporation full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

You work with really smart people who want to do their very best. Great problem solvers and want to collaborate to solve problems. Access to the best technology, tools, etc. If you are in the right spot you work very very very hard and long hours. But it can be soo fun! Because of this I would recommend this to a friend if they knew what they were getting into.

    Cons

Tons of slackers. There is deadwood that needs to be cleared out. Lots of people who are afraid to take risks. Too conservative in their products and marketing of them. Decision making is slow and everyone that helps you they feel that they can make your decisions for you. Senior management is not egalitarian at all. There is a class system even though within the company mantra there is not.
Intel uses internal benchmarks to determine if their products are competitive and drinks their own marketing information.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Grow up. Start focusing your employees energy. Take some risks. Value your employees that take risks not the "yes" employees.
