    Pros

Being such a large company, it's nice knowing that you will have a job if you are competent in the least bit. They also encourage internal transfers and strive to keep individuals within the company. The benefits are pretty good (free soda\pop, gym, volleyball court, etc.) From my experiences, work-life balance really depends on the person; if you let yourself work 60 hour weeks people will rely on you to do so. If you want to be out at 5pm every day and not pick up your laptop at home, that seems to be accepted as well. Your performance review may not be off the charts, but that balance is an option.

    Cons

Intel is not necessarily a "fun" place to work; I'd estimate the average employee to be in their late 30's\early 40's.

In my product related group, there's a sizeable ramp time before you feel like you're contributing in a meaningful way.

Being such a large company, you may spend days trying to track down the person who owns a particular piece of information vital to your job.
