My work was boring, but interning at Intel was a very valuable experience nonetheless.

Pros

Career development is emphasized quite a bit there with classes available to all salary employees and lots of chances to network. Relocation and full benefits are available to interns. There were lots of events for interns and recent college grads. You can lot of insight into the company in a short time.

Cons

It's less nimble and more bureaucratic than most companies in the tech industry. I got the impression that it was difficult to move between jobs within the company that weren't on the usual promotion track.

    Pros

The products that you get to work on are cutting edge, no shortage of brilliant people. You learn a lot in a short amount of time.

    Cons

Some engineers are overworked and underpaid. Management demands 60 hours per week, around-the-clock work.

    Advice to Management

Invest in your employees for the long-term. Allow them more time to innovate and be creative. This would help increase productivity over the long-term. For instance, investing a few hours a week, I could automate half of the repetitive task, thereby doubling my output.
