IADB and US Natives need not apply

Trainer (Current Employee) Washington, DC

ProsThe office culture is professional, multi-cultural, disciplined and stale. If one is not an American citizen / Native then the benefits are numerous. Employees receive tax exemption both here and their native countries, home loans of with remarkably low interest rates and every kind of top notch medical care available. These benefits are nominal compared to the complete list of benefits, but again only if the employee is NOT a US native.

ConsOne must operate with complete fluency in Spanish, English and hopefully French and Portuguese. There is no room for US citizens, native citizens to truly be considered for n advanced position with this organization. If the prospective employee is young, very young, then maybe there are entry level posts available to them, but there are none for the seasoned professional that desires an opportunity to branch into this field at the IADB.

Advice to Senior ManagementReview and observe employees and recognize innovation and enthusiasm that can be utilized by the Bank. Forget the bureaucracy, roll up your sleeves, become less rigid and get to work with smiles n your faces.
