I worked at InterContinental Hotels Group

Pros

This company is made up of a lot of great people to work with. The company has had strong financial returns and pays pretty well.

Cons

They are going through some layoffs in some areas so ask in your interview about current track record. Also, while you get paid well, IHG demands crazy hours due to lack of focus. They are dropping in top employers in Atlanta rating which should tell you something. All in all, because of the people, still okay place.

I worked at InterContinental Hotels Group full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The environment is really nice, and most of the people they hire there are fantastic; plus the one person that got on everyone's nerves quit. The Hotel Restaurant is the best in town, the Executive Chef is absolutely amazing!

    Cons

The pay is pretty low compared to smaller hotels in the area.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Raise the pay. Do your 90 day employee reviews at 90 days, not 150 or so days. If the employee is doing well, or at least better than when they started give them a raise as an incentive to keep them.
