InterContinental Hotels – “IHG is a good company to work for, but what you get out of it depends on you.

InterContinental Hotels Anonymous in Atlanta, GA:   (Current Employee)

Pros

There are a lot of long time employees at the company so it's obviously a company where you can spend your entire career moving up the ladder, if that's your preference. There's a lot of talk about professional development and they provide access to many continuing education courses assuming you can find time to take advantage of it. Overall I'd say IHG is a good company to work for, but to get the most out of it you have to make an effort to put yourself out there and take advantage of the benefits available to you as an employee.

Cons

There's a feeling of things being rushed a lot of the time (rushed in the sense of lack of planning and time management, not too much work).

Advice to Senior Management

Be available and communicative.
