I have been working at Interactive Data full-time (more than 8 years)

Pros

A stable work environment where good work is rewarded. You can easily become a specialist in an area as the company covers many areas of financial data.

Cons

Poor intra-company communication. Benefits are weak since being taken over by private equity. Colleagues are not always in the top 10%.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Encourage more communication and knowledge sharing across all ranks and not just up and down through reporting lines. Effort is repeatedly being duplicated as no one knows what other people are working on.

I worked at Interactive Data full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Most people there are quite friendly, gym, cafe near by, quiet atmosphere

    Cons

There tends to be a shift in management from mentoring and career growth to micromanagement, where people are afraid to ask for time off or to step up and say something when they see things going on that are questionable because they are afraid of being fired or being docked time from their paychecks.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look at who you have managing your teams. People rally around people who are good leaders who care about their people not just the bottom line. There are some really amazing people who work there but you won't know this by just focusing on the numbers. You currently don't have the right people in management positions.

    Pros

You will have the opportunity to learn the basics of Finance.

    Cons

There's not much growth within the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Depending on the department, it would be prudent to evaluate the financials with a trend analysis for proper estimated values for any objective. In addition, search for internal growth for every position and if there's a lack there of, then, create a team where the current employee may have the opportunity to learn and grow. Last but not least, improve data quality and platform discrepancies.
