“Learned a lot about the company and software testing”
I worked at Interactive Intelligence
Pros – Pool party, events, mostly competent coworkers, pleasant interaction with management and easy access to senior management. Easy to make your voice heard.
Cons – The benefits were somewhat low, especially compared to what some of my classmates earned at their internships, I made less than half of what others did.
Advice to Senior Management – Increase the intern salary some and provide a little more meaningful work. It's still a relatively trivial expense compared to a full-time salary and higher intern salaries give bragging rights for the student and the company.
