I have been working at Interactive One part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

The executives at the company are open to speaking with you one on one if you reach out to them. Brainstorms for RFP's are a lot of fun because everyone is open to all ideas. There's always music playing in the office. The environment is very relaxed and flexible, far from rigid or strict. Not mandatory to wear business attire. You can wear casual clothing.

    Cons

In house inventory (where promo items are kept for events) is disorganized. There are a few people who will try and micromanage, especially if they see you come with good ideas for the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't allow people to micromanage. And don't allow people to have bottles of alcohol in their office just because they are in high positions. Agency or not; alcohol bottles in an office is unprofessional.

Social Media Conglomerate with unique target demographic, very liberal environment, many people of color, youthful environment, great for a Communications or Journalism major fresh out of college. Great way to gain experience in running a news site.

    Cons

The pay is not commisurate with the demands on lower management.
