Pros

A leader in the industry, with particular strengths in brand valuation, brand strategy, CPG/packaging (especially in the mid-West – Cincinnati, etc.), and some great design work as well.

Cons

Not known for pushing the envelope strategically or design-wise, but that may be a perception issue.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Senior leaders in UK are very good people. There seems to be a lot of turnover in NY.

    Pros

Hard work is recognized, but rarely rewarded monetarily. Great respect for alternative liefsyle choices. Pretty good culture if you are into living vicariously through the business.

    Cons

Lots of pressure to make numbers, but pressure is rarely reciprocated in terms of compensation or bonus.

Hours are just brutal, lots of weekends and late nights. If you have any aspirations for raising a family, just postpone it. Maybe the admin type jobs offer more balance. Billable personnel are expected to be totally billable plus internal initiatives, plus new business. Burnout....

People get fired or quit routinely without a lot of formal explanation. Rumors and innuendo rule the roost.

    Pros

It's a very well-respected organization and a great stepping stone into branding. It also has a very strong management team. Interbrand is an industry leader and does a great job filling that role through its Best Global Brand report, industry events and promotion.

    Cons

Long hours with poor work life balance, though this is true for many branding firms.
High rate of turnover, likely due to disappointing compensation.
